Brandeis University:  B.A. (Mathematics, minor in Linguistics), 1970
University of Pennsylvania:  M.S. (Operations Research), 1972
University of Pennsylvania:  Ph.D. (Operations Research), 1974

Areas of Interest

Optimization, with an emphasis in Integer Programming. Analysis of heuristics. Special interests in Production, Scheduling, Facility Layout, and the Supply Chain.

Courses Taught at OSU

Undergraduate courses: Mathematical Programming: Nonlinear, Inventory Theory, Facility Design and Control.
Graduate courses: Operations Research: Models and Methods, Linear Programming, Nonlinear Programming, Integer Programming, Scheduling Theory, Polyhedral Combinatorics.

Marc E. Posner is a professor of Operations Research at OSU . Before coming to OSU, he was a faculty member in the Business School at New York University and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Also, he worked at RCA in Princeton NJ.
