Future Students
* Why choose OSU?
As an incoming student, ISE offered the opportunity to gain a flexible degree. Because I was unsure of my ultimate career goal, but had a strong interest in science and math and working with people; an ISE degree allowed me to utilize these skills and also gain skills in business and social sciences - knowledge all necessary in the real world. The resources and opportunities at Ohio State are endless, and the same goes for the ISE department. Professors in the Department are incredibly willing to help you find your niche within industrial engineering and their direction and insight is priceless.
-- Cullen Naumoff, Undergraduate ISE Student and 2006-2007 Udall Scholar (BS awarded 2007)
The Industrial and Systems Engineering Program at Ohio State provides all the benefits of a large university combined with the feel of a small personal college. Any class, club or activity that you want to participate in is available to you because of the large size, but you still get the personalized attention that you would expect at a small, private college. I loved my experience as an undergraduate at Ohio State and that combined with the prestige and excellence of the Ergonomics group within the Integrated Systems Engineering department, my decision to attend Ohio State for graduate school was the simplest decision I ever made.
-- Sarah Nelson, Masters Student (pursuing dual degrees in ME and ISE) (MS awarded 2007)
